Celebrate "Done!"

Celebrate "Done!"
Kona is showing off our new holiday décor.
We've done a lot more decorating this season than in past years. We actually started in early November on a weekend we were both home. That weekend we got the tree up and over the coming days Gayle took on the responsibility of adding lights and decorations to the tree. I added in some garland on the stair railing and a new sparkly garland gracing the hallway in our house (which Kona is showing off in the photo above.)
One of the things I've noticed each of us doing more often is asking for a little gold star for our work. "I'd like a gold star for..." is a common phrase in our home.
It's so easy in our social media fueled worlds to watch production quality "moments" that are anything but a normal ordinary moment. We see these carefully curated feeds of amazing parenting moments and out of this world dishes being prepared and so, so much more - and we fail to remember as we're watching that this stuff is HARD! Just think about the list of steps it took - if you had to explain it to someone else - to create that dish or to get that report completed and sent. The adult world is NOT for the faint of heart.
One of my favorite tools for celebrating all I've accomplished is the "ta-da" list! Rather than a standard to do list, the ta-da list is a list of all the things I got done that day. While I don't need to do it everyday, when I'm feeling as though I've worked my tail off all day and yet have nothing to show for it - a ta-da list is often a good antidote to boost my mood.
How do you celebrate done? Hit reply if you're reading this in email or click the link below no matter where you're reading to go to the chat in my Circle Community about this topic.
I pre-published the first of my "weekly" (hopefully...that's the plan anyway) YouTube videos. This one is all about deciding how many Obsidian vaults you need. You can watch it now using the link in Circle, but it won't become available to YouTube's algorithm for another week!
What's Coming Up?
I've been working behind the scenes for the last couple of weeks on the resources for the Shelf Reflection and Yearly Intention workshops. I hope you will join me! Remember - each is offered at two different days/times so if you can't join the one linked below, check out the Events Page in Circle to see if there are other options that work better for your schedule.

It's hard to escape the noise of the world that we live in. Just like we need to give our bodies nourishing food and exercise, we also need to give our brains and nervous systems nourishment in the form of content that helps keep us sane and happy.
Join for this free workshop to reflect on your content consumption over the last year and do some planning for what you want more of in your content diet for next year. When you leave the workshop you'll have:
1. Tangible things you can do to tame the social media algorithms
2. A reflection of what you've consumed in the past year
3. An action item or two for what you want to consume next year.
Participants will receive a printable worksheet a few days before the workshop to download and use if you wish. If you don't have a printer or don't want to print, all you'll need to bring is a few thoughts about what you consumed this year and some way to take some notes for yourself.

Join me for a one hour workshop designed to help you choose a theme for 2026 - and if you wish to go deeper to choose monthly or quarterly intentions or themes. Participants will receive a beautiful Intention Setting Guide to download. We'll spend an hour choosing a theme and deciding on ways to keep that theme visible to yourself during the year.
Prep & Landing: Snowball Protocol
OMG!!! Many years ago, Gayle watched the first Prep & Landing feature and was hooked. All three original films are now a part of our annual holiday tradition - and BONUS!!! There is a new film this year - Prep & Landing: Snowball Protocol. Whether you're a kid at heart or share your life with little ones, this is a great series for the whole family. I can't wait to watch the newest addition to this little franchise.
